ANTELOPE VALLEY POPPY FIELDS

CALIFORNIA

The Poppy Fields are located in the state of California, just north of the Palmdale/Lancaster area along highway 14.  Just follow the signs to the exact location. If coming from the north or south along highway 14 once you take the proper exit, it will be about a 10 mile drive to the west.  When the fields are in full bloom, they are a sight to behold. Hillsides are covered with orange and yellow flowers. Pull up to the entrance gate, pay a fee, park your car, and be prepared to go on a nice easy hike.  It is a very nice and pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The best time for viewing will be a two to three week period in April. The flower boom depends on how much rain we get from November to March. This time period is the rainy season for Southern California.  P.S. If there is a full bloom the park will be crowded on a nice sunny day.

1st Peter 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.
